Privacy Policy
Updated:
Overview
Anonymous VPN is designed to minimize the information processed about users. Providing the service still requires processing technical network information and account data. This policy distinguishes VPN operation from account, billing, website and application records.
Information we do not require
We do not require a legal first or last name, telephone number, physical address, precise location or identity documents. You may use a nickname in the display-name field. An external sign-in provider may supply a profile name and email address when you choose that sign-in method. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive information to support.
Information during an active VPN connection
Technical network information, including the current source IP address, may be visible in memory or active network processes for as long as needed to establish and maintain the connection. It is not intended to become a persistent source-IP or VPN session history after the session ends. We do not promise instantaneous removal from every process.
VPN traffic and logging
Anonymous VPN is designed not to intentionally retain persistent logs of internet traffic contents, visited websites, browsing or DNS query history, VPN destinations, source-IP history or historical VPN connection activity. This describes the intended handling of VPN traffic; it does not mean that no account, website, payment or diagnostic records exist.
Account and subscription information
Depending on how you sign in, account information includes an email address or Telegram identifier, an optional provider profile/display name, authentication information, account settings, registered devices, subscription status, expiry and aggregate usage needed to enforce the plan. Support messages and linked service identifiers may also be stored. These are separate from browsing history.
Login, logout and account events
Limited account-event records, such as authentication and account operations, support service operation, account security, troubleshooting and integrity. They are not intended to contain browsing activity, traffic contents, DNS history, precise location or VPN destinations. We do not claim that every account-event record is encrypted at rest.
Billing and transactions
Payment and subscription records are separate from VPN traffic. They may include a transaction identifier, amount, date, payment status, subscription period and related account identifier. They are used to confirm payments, display history, provide billing support, resolve payment problems and meet applicable obligations. Where checkout redirects to an external payment provider, full payment-card credentials are entered with that provider; Anonymous VPN does not receive or store those full credentials in that flow. The provider handles its own records under its privacy policy.
Official application diagnostics
The official app keeps limited technical diagnostics, including error/event type, connection status, timestamps, device identifier, platform and app version. Some diagnostics are sent to the service for support. Local logs are size-limited and rotated. Diagnostics are not intended to record browsing activity, traffic contents, DNS history, precise location or source-IP history; redaction removes sensitive values. This is not a promise that diagnostics contain no technical information.
Third-party applications and providers
Compatible third-party VPN applications have their own developers and privacy policies. Anonymous VPN does not control their telemetry or logging; review their policies before use. Google or Telegram sign-in, payment providers and externally loaded website assets may also process connection information under their own policies. Their processing is distinct from Anonymous VPN app diagnostics.
Website logs, cookies and local storage
The website uses essential authentication/security cookies and browser storage for preferences such as language and appearance. Website/API access logs can contain the requesting IP address, request path, time, response status and technical errors. These are website/service-access records, not a history of destinations visited through the VPN. They do not disappear simply because a VPN session ends.
Advertising and service messages
Anonymous VPN does not send advertising email or promotional email campaigns, sell user data for advertising, or use VPN traffic to build advertising profiles. Account verification, security, billing, subscription and support messages are service communications.
Retention
Active connection information is processed for the duration needed to operate the connection. Account, billing, security, support and technical records have separate operational or legal purposes. We do not promise one fixed retention period or immediate deletion for all records, backups or independent providers. Contact support for a request concerning information associated with your account.
Account and data deletion
You can initiate account deletion in Account settings and complete the confirmation shown there. Data associated with the account that is no longer required should be deleted or anonymized, subject to applicable retention obligations. Account deletion does not erase records an independent payment provider must retain. Contact support if you cannot access the deletion controls or need help with remaining records.
Disclosure and lawful authority requests
Anonymous VPN responds to legally valid, binding requests from competent authorities when applicable law requires it. Only information actually available at the time can be disclosed. Historical VPN traffic, browsing, DNS and source-IP/session records are not intended to be retained and may therefore be unavailable. During an active connection, technical information such as the current source IP may be available; availability depends on the technical state at that time. This is neither a promise to retain extra information nor a promise to refuse a lawful order.
Security and privacy limits
A VPN encrypts the connection between your device and VPN infrastructure and uses a VPN server address for traffic routed through it. It does not guarantee absolute anonymity or security. Websites and apps may identify you through logins, cookies, device/browser identifiers, fingerprinting, information you provide or malware. Routes outside the VPN are not protected by its tunnel. Authentication, access controls and redaction reduce risks but cannot eliminate them.
Children's use
The service is not specifically directed at children. Users must meet applicable requirements for using and purchasing the service, including any required parental or guardian authorization. Contact support if you believe a child has supplied information that should be removed.
Changes to this policy
Changes are published on this page with an updated date. Review the policy when deciding how to use the service. Material changes should be explained through the website or account where appropriate.
Contact
Use the existing Support section in your account for privacy, deletion, subscription or technical questions. The Help page explains how to reach it. Anonymous VPN is the service brand; this page does not assert a company registration or certification.
